Renewal. Strength. Purpose.
By Odin Defense Group | May 2025
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time for reflection, advocacy, and action.
At Odin Defense Group, our mission has always been about more than just protection. It’s about people. It’s about standing for those who have stood watch, walked into danger, and borne burdens most will never understand. This month, we shine a spotlight on the invisible wounds, the mental and emotional toll that service often leaves behind.
The Weight of the Badge and the Uniform
Whether it’s the soldier returning from deployment, the deputy working the midnight shift, or the EMT racing toward another traumatic call, these protectors face battles long after their duty ends. Trauma doesn’t clock out. And far too often, those who give the most find themselves suffering in silence.
Mental Health Awareness Month is about breaking that silence. It’s about recognizing that survival is not enough. Healing, strength, and growth are possible, and essential.
The Green Ribbon
The green ribbon symbolizes renewal, strength, and purpose. It’s a sign that we see you. That your struggles are valid. That help is not weakness, it’s a warrior’s next step. At Odin Defense Group, we’re committed to building a culture that protects both physical safety and mental resilience. Through advocacy, partnerships, and our own internal training programs, we stand firm in this mission.
Dedicated to Colin “Piper” Spencer
This month, we carry a heavy heart as we honor one of our own: Colin “Piper” Spencer, AMT1, United States Coast Guard.
Colin was a true professional, a passionate aviation technician, and a brother in arms. His energy lit up every deployment, and his commitment to service was unmatched. Tragically, Colin lost his battle with mental health on April 23rd, 2025.
We dedicate this post to him.
To his legacy.
To the laughs we shared.
To the silence we wish we had filled with support.
Until Valhalla, brother.
